Last night I attended the Pre-Party at Hangout Music Festival in Gulf Shores, Alabama. The Pre-Party had 3 stages set up and had the Ferris Wheel lit. The first act that I caught of the night was ASTR. Hailing from New York, this duo has a great upbeat and unique sound. Zoe, the front woman, put on a fantastic show as she engaged the crowd by dancing around the stage, pointed at fans and rocked out next to her partner, Adam. Their EP, Varsity was released at the beginning of last year and has 6 great tracks. Check out the video above from their performance. “Razor” is my favorite song on the EP.
