Hangout Music Festival – Day 2 Highlights
Day 2 of Hangout was a blast. On this day, my friends and I did a lot of exploring so that we could experience the festival a bit more than day one. We ran into a wedding chapel when you could be “festival married” for three days. The ceremony was complete with a minister, ring pops, and a marriage license. The grand finale was a hung or kiss which was then put on vine by the festival itself. Kind of a cool and unique idea. Surprisingly, a lot of people at the festival were taking advantage of this, and I know because I saw several festival proposals happening at shows.
Aside from that, the weather was perfect, the crowd was still moving and it was the day that my favorite musicians, Odesza, were playing. Odesza does an amazing job re-creating their songs live. Using electric drums and synthesizers, they are able to make their songs sound just like they do on their albums, and switch it up a bit for the crowd. Check out their live performance of one of my favorite songs, “How Did I Get Here” off their album, Summers Gone.
